After posting a harmless video on social media showing the senator flying a drone, she sparked a barrage of criticism for apparent breaches of regulations.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) is now looking into whether Senator Hanson defied regulations.
She posted the video to her official Facebook and Twitter accounts on Wednesday night, which showed the One Nation leader standing on the balcony of a high-rise in Townville, flying a drone.
After receiving numerous comments from people telling her to be careful, or insulting her, the video was removed just hours after posting.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority confirmed today that it was ‘reviewing the video.
