RESIDENTS say houses and buildings were “violently shaken” by an earthquake on NSW’s mid-north coast shortly before 1.30pm.
EXPERTS are investigating whether an earthquake near Coffs Harbour has caused serious damage.
The 4.2 magnitude shake hit near South West Rocks shortly before 1.30pm. NSW Incident Alerts said there was no tsunami threat.
The site said residents in South West Rocks and Wauchope said the quake “felt like a semi-trailer hitting”.
