A man has been taken to hospital after being rescued from a cave near Buchan in Victoria’s east.
The 25-year-old man was caving with an outdoor adventure group at Jacksons Crossing when he fell 15 metres down a sinkhole about midnight.
He spent the morning stuck on a ledge before being freed around 8:00am.
The CFA’s assistant chief officer for Gippsland, Trevor Owen, said the man was being treated for a suspected back injury.
“Police provided their search and rescue specialists who came in to provide the rescue support,” he said.
