Oscars: Margot Robbie nominated for best actress for role in I, Tonya

Margot Robbie smiles in a still image from the film I, TonyaAustralian Margot Robbie has been nominated for an Oscar for best actress for her role in I, Tonya, while lavish monster romance The Shape of Water has fished out a leading 13 nominations.

Robbie will be the leading Australian hope at the 90th annual Academy Awards, to be held on March 5 (AEDT), for her portrayal of controversial figure skater Tonya Harding.
