WHETHER you’re in the city or out bush, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Australia Day.
From early morning breakfast barbecues to fireworks displays, there is something for everyone in almost every part of our great state.
The biggest event on the WA Australia Day calendar is the annual City of Perth Skyworks.
More than 300,000 people are expected to descend on the Swan River foreshore to watch the fireworks spectacular which is using almost 90 per cent of last year’s unexploded fireworks.
The event was cancelled last year following the tragic plane crash that killed Perth businessman Peter Lynch and his girlfriend Endah Cakrawati.
To coincide with the fireworks display a series of events will be held on the city and South Perth foreshores.
