Frances McDormand's speech was the moment of the OscarsThe Shape Of Water was the surprise winner of Best Picture, but Frances McDormand provided the moment of the Oscars with her impassioned acceptance speech for Best Actress.

McDormand, who played a woman seeking justice in dark comedy Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, asked all female nominees present to stand up.

“Look around, everybody. Look around, ladies and gentlemen, because we all have stories to tell and projects we need [to] finance,” she said.

She finished her speech by saying, “I have two words for you: inclusion rider”.

She explained what she meant backstage afterwards…
