Tiger Woods heading back Down Under for President’s Cup

Tiger Woods is heading to Australia for the first time since 2011.TIGER Woods is set for his first trip to Australia since 2011 after confirming his attendance for the sport’s President’s Cup in Melbourne.

Woods will take part in next December’s tournament in a major boost for golf Down Under, with the 14-time major winner remaining the sport’s biggest name.

Woods will captain the US team, while South Africa’s Ernie Els will head up the Internationals.

The US star said he was expecting huge crowd support for the International side.

You could see that happening if you foresee the team being (Marc Leishman) and Jason (Day), Adam (Scott) and maybe another couple of core Aussies,” Woods said.

“They’re going to support their own, right?

“The Internationals team has been very difficult to beat there.

“It’s probably the greatest sporting town; they really enjoy their sport and they come out in droves.”
