A MADDINGTON man is facing drug and weapons charges after police stopped an allegedly stolen 4WD in Thornlie yesterday.
The 39-year-old was driving a Holden Rodeo, which allegedly had false plates, on Jaqueline Drive when he was pulled over at about 9.30am.
A replica handgun, live ammunition and a baseball that had been modified into a weapon were alleged found in the vehicle.
A small amount of cannabis and methylamphetamine was also seized, police said.
The driver is facing a string of charges, including two counts of possessing a controlled weapon, drug possession and driving a vehicle with false plates.
He was due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
