Hottest 100-winning US rapper Kendrick Lamar has announced a tour of Australia this winter in addition to his appearance at Splendour in the Grass.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning artist will hit arenas in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney in July.
The 30-year-old Californian will tour off the back of his latest album, DAMN., which has sold millions of copies and spawned chart-topping singles.
It won the Grammy for Best Rap Album — one of five Lamar won that night — and topped many publications’ end-of-year lists. The track HUMBLE. won the Hottest 100.

Lamar is considered one of the most important talents in the music world right now, with a catalogue of critically acclaimed records.
Last week, when he became the first non-classical or jazz artist to win the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Music, the judges praised DAMN. for offering “affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life”.
