Man charged over Kelmscott domestic dispute which left elderly man dead, woman injured

Two police officers stand at the rear of a police car with paperwork.A man who is thought to be the son of an elderly couple attacked in their Perth home has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

The 42-year-old Mount Lawley man was arrested after a domestic dispute at the house in the southern Perth suburb of Kelmscott on Friday.

Officers and paramedics were called to the property on Ensign Dale just after 7:00am amid reports a man and a woman, both 72, had been seriously injured.

Dozens of forensic investigators and Homicide Squad detectives have spent much of the day at the scene.
