Northbridge’s Romany Restaurant closes its doors after locking them to bar ‘unruly people’

“It’s an age thing. I am 70 years old, I have been married for 50 years and I think it’s time to be with my wife, my family and my little dog, who is not so well,” Mr de Velta said.

The Romany may have changed owners and addresses over the years, but the restaurant’s name, menu and reputation for being family friendly and providing tasty, simple food has endured since 1958.
