THE family of 11-year-old Perth girl Denishar Woods is set to sue the State Government, claiming it failed in its duty of care.
Denishar sustained a catastrophic brain injury when she received a powerful electric shock from a garden tap outside the family’s public housing property in Beldon.
Her mother Lacey Harrison has said she complained to the Housing Authority about the power at the home and it was not maintained properly.

Through the legal action, she will now seek compensation to help cope with the financial challenge of caring for Denishar.
The Housing Authority has since found a new house for Ms Harrison and her children, who are hoping to bring Denishar home from Princess Margaret Hospital in the next few weeks.
