It’s been a busy night for our emergency services as the year’s first cold front brought heavy wind and rain to the south west corner of the State.
The State Emergency Service has received about 100 calls for help, mostly for leaking roofs and fallen trees as wind gusts of up to 100mk/h were recorded.
The storm also left about 10,000 residents without power across WA and Western Power crews are now out in the rain to reconnect them.
Send you pics and videos of Perth’s wild weather to our Facebook page.
Lightning could be seen across much of the State as a storm front moved in early Thursday night and within an hour or so heavy rains had filled up gauges.
Rottnest Island received the most rain with 41.2mm since 9am yesterday while on the mainland Swanbourne and Bickley copped 39.8mm and 37.6mm respectively.
