The Sydney Harbour Bridge has all but disappeared this morning as a thick blanket of fog swallows the Harbour City causing flight and ferry disruptions.
The “coat hanger” was missing from the skyline as dawn broke, the Opera House barely there and western Sydney has also been shrouded in mist.
At the airport, 20 domestic flights have been cancelled or delayed but international flights have not been impacted at this stage.
A flow on effect is expected with delays likely to continue in to the morning. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines.
Some ferries are affected, with buses replacing some services and the Parramatta river car services also cancelled.
