AN elderly couple from Maddington are suspected of being the sixth victim of sabotaged strawberries after discovering a needle buried in their fruit.

The couple say they discovered a sewing needle in a strawberry they had bought from a green grocer at Maddington Central Shopping Centre yesterday.

It was found in a Kimmy’s branded punnet, grown on a Gnangara farm.

The find has disgusted the grower My Doan, who says it can’t have happened on the farm.

The latest find comes after a young girl was hurt eating a strawberry at her Willeton school about 10.30 this morning.

Detectives received an anxious call from Burrendah Primary School – worried a female student had been hurt after she bit into a strawberry and felt a needle…
