Perron Group chief executive Ross Robertson said in a statement the company’s “much loved and respected founder and chairman” passed away earlier today.
He is survived by wife Jean, three children and seven grandchildren.
Mr Robertson said Mr Perron, who joined the workforce after leaving school at 14, “always displayed an enduring commitment to ethical behaviour and his personal values of integrity, respect, excellence, team work and compassion”.
“(He) never lost his passion for his work attending to his business interests and charitable work by joining his management team in our Perth office almost every day up until recently,” he said.
Mr Perron was born in Perth in November 1922 but spent most of his youth in the Goldfields region.
